As most of you know Donavan went to the Promotion Board on the 29th to become promotable to Staff Sergeant....thank you for all of the encouragement and prayers! He did AWESOME...he was determined and studied every night for 3 weeks, prepared a speech and built his impressive ribbon rack for his Dress Blues. I am so very proud of him and this is MUCH deserved and LONG over due (he was scheduled to go to the board twice in the past year, but events while deployed took priority)... I was volunteering in the same building so when he was done he came downstairs to share the good news and I snapped this picture!
Besides being proud of his accomplishments the best part for me was that while he was preparing his speech I learned a few things about him! He wants to go Special Forces, become a 1st Sergeant and later own a Pizzeria!! It's great to know that after 7 years together we are still learning, growing and changing...both as individuals and together <3
